Ant Foraging as a Complex Adaptive System
This Adobe (formerly Macromedia) Director-based interactive was developed for Complexity Art Services of New Mexico. It depicts the results of computer simulations of the collective behavior of foraging ants. By following a few simple rules such as the one shown above, the simulation yielded complex group behaviors suggestive of those found in real ant colonies.
